PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A dedication to late Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller has popped up on Google Maps.
“The Mac Miller Memoir,” a Twitter account memorializing Miller, pointed out Sunday night that when you search for “blue slide park” or “blue slide playground” in the Google Maps app or on the Google Maps website, the name now appears as “Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Playground.”
A search for “blue slide park” or “blue slide playground” in the Apple Maps app doesn’t yield the same results, but if you search for “Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park” specifically, it does appear.

The playground is in a section of Frick Park near Taylor Allderdice High School, where Miller went to school.
Miller’s debut album was titled “Blue Slide Park,” and part of the music video for his song “Frick Park Market” was filmed at the playground.
Crews put a fresh coat of paint on the slide after the Point Breeze native’s death in September before thousands gathered at the park for a memorial.
It is unclear what sparked the name change in the Maps apps. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy has not made any announcements regarding a formal name change for the playground.

Coming on the scene with a throwback style that betrayed his years, Pittsburgh-based rapper Mac Miller had just turned 18 when he spent 2010 making his name through mixtapes and video-sharing websites. Born Malcolm McCormick, Miller first used the alias 'Easy Mac,' a name referenced on his debut mixtape, 2007's But My Mackin' Ain't Easy. His K.I.D.S. mixtape became his breakthrough when it was released in August of 2010, earning plenty of attention from hip-hop blogs and landing Miller a recording contract with Rostrum Records. The more experimental effort Watching Movies with the Sound Off followed in 2013, with left-field hip-hop names like Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, and Flying Lotus lending a hand. A year later he signed with Warner Bros. and launched his own imprint, REMember Music, under the major label. GO:OD AM followed in 2015 with Lil B, Chief Keef, and Miguel on the album's guest list. Just a year after GO:OD AM ascended to the Top Five of the Billboard 200 and Rap charts, Miller returned with his fourth LP, The Divine Feminine. The album featured contributions from guests like Kendrick Lamar, Cee Lo Green, Robert Glasper, and Anderson.Paak, who lent his soulful rasp to first single 'Dang!'

Got to respect what mac is doing. No features shows that he can put a strong album out by himself with out the help of wiz or any1 else he could easily get a feature from.
and in case you guys didn’t know mac is trying to break a world record with preorders. if he gets 25K preorders hell drop the title song blue slide park the next day no matter what, if he gets 50k preorders he will donate 50 thousand dollars to make a wish foundation to give back to the community, and if he gets 100 thousand pre orders he will drop the album for free the next day no matter what.

Mac’s projects have never disapointed imo, even tho BDE was a little bit more commercial i still liked it. I know mac wouldnt put out a bad album he aint stupid. This will be album of the year IMO jcole was good and drakes will be good too but i think this will be the best.
